its become routine to head out to the workshop once i get "home" from work. i’ve got quite a few things that i need to have done by october 1. i must admit that i do find my time out there to be not only therapeutic (manual labor = exercise), but relaxing as i usually leave having successfully completed something. while nowhere near as "wow" when compared to my weekend’s output, i was able to use the botched member from sunday for reference when working on the tops of the gallows.

i still need to finish chiseling out one, but once i realized that bigger didn’t mean better, i opted for lots of small holes since it results is a much tighter joint. well tight enough right now that i can’t get a 2×4 into it which is exactly where i want it to be. that way its some wood filing to get them to join together as tight as possible.
