    1. Call to Adventure
      1. The Hero comes into the knowledge of their Vocation.
    2. Refusal of the Call
      1. The Hero initially shirks or remains indifferent to the call to their Vocation.
    3. Supernatural Aid
      1. Unexpected assistance comes to the Hero that affirms their choice to want to answer the call.
    4. The Crossing of the First Threshold
      1. The Hero sets forth into the unknown Vocation.
    5. The Belly of the Whale
      1. The Hero observes and contemplates the unknown in which they are now enveloped. There are many strange, new elements in the environment of their Vocation.
  1. The Trials and Victories of Initiation
    1. The Road of Trials
      1. The Hero becomes involved in direct study of their Vocation. The forces and nature of their Vocation test their will to achieve a degree of expertise.
    2. Meeting with the Goddess
      1. The Hero, feeling empowered by the lessons of the Tests and the understanding of the base elements of their Vocation that they have gained through direct study, the Hero must begin to practice their Vocation.
    3. Woman as the Temptress
      1. Presuming greater competence in their Vocation than they possess, the Hero assumes the role of Master of their Vocation and is dismayed to find their skill and knowledge is not as detailed as needs demand for dominion of their Vocation. The Hero must perceive their own weaknesses and seek guidance from their peers.
    4. Atonement with the Father
      1. The Hero reaches out to vocational peers for help. The Hero understands that other forces influence their Vocation. Peers within and without the Hero’s Vocation can provide assistance as well as impedance in the Hero’s quest to succeed at their Vocation.
    5. Apotheosis
      1. Having gained wisdom as well as a tactical knowledge, knowing they are both teacher and student, the Hero can better assume their Vocation.
    6. The Ultimate Boon
      1. The Hero, through continual honing of skill and method in their Vocation, discovers new processes that may be added to the sum total of the wisdom and knowledge of their Vocation. The Hero may contribute to the known through continued practice of perfection of his Vocation.
  1. Return and Reintegration
    1. Refusal of the Return
      1. On occasion, the Hero will wish to remain in private possession of their discoveries, or the Hero may find the unknown so intriguing that they may not wish to give up the quest for deeper personal understanding of the mysteries. The unknown remains so.
    2. The Magic Flight
      1. On occasion, the Hero’s discoveries will be perceived by the Hero’s vocational peers, or other forces, to be too powerful, or somehow dangerous, to be made known. These peers or forces may attempt to prevent the Hero from enlightening the known world.
    3. Rescue from Without
      1. On occasion, the demand for discoveries to be made known will drive the Hero’s peers, or others, to help the Hero to deliver, or pressure the reluctant Hero into bringing their discoveries from the unknown to the known.
    4. Crossing the Return Threshold
      1. The Hero brings their discoveries into the known world, making the unknown known.
    5. Master of Two Worlds
      1. Having passed through the known to the unknown and back into the known, the Hero can now come and go between these worlds at will to further their contributions to their Vocation.
    6. Freedom to Live
      1. The Hero may continue unimpeded in the practice of their Vocation, perpetually bringing new discoveries from the unknown to the known.
